Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026.
This privacy policy explains how Dulwich Painting Co collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use this website or contact me about a painting and decorating job. Dulwich Painting Co is a sole-trader business owned and operated by Imer, based in East Dulwich, SE22. For UK GDPR purposes, I am the data controller for your personal information.
Contact: hello@dulwichpainting.co.uk or 07933 509672.
What information I collect: When you contact me for a quote, I collect your name, phone number and email, the property address, work details (photos, descriptions, measurements) and any notes you provide. When you browse this site, standard cookies and analytics may record your IP, device type, browser, pages viewed, and visit history.
How I use your information: To reply to your quote request, send you a written quote, arrange a site visit if needed, carry out the work and invoice, provide a 1-year workmanship guarantee, and keep records as required by HMRC. I don’t use your information for marketing, sell it to third parties, or share it outside the business except as needed to carry out the work.
Lawful basis: Under UK GDPR my lawful basis is contract (to provide a quote and carry out the work), legitimate interest (to respond to enquiries and maintain business records), and legal obligation (HMRC requires records for typically 6 years).
Who I share with: My accountant for tax returns, HMRC as required by law, paint suppliers if you ask me to order specific paint on your behalf, and only with your prior agreement my brothers (builder/plumber) where the job genuinely requires another trade. I do not share with marketing, advertising or third-party analytics companies.
How long I keep your information: Quote requests that don’t become jobs are kept for 12 months. Completed jobs are kept for 6 years (HMRC requirement). Guarantee records are kept for 2 years after completion. You can ask me to delete your information sooner where legally permitted.
Your rights: Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal information I hold, ask me to correct inaccurate information, ask me to delete your information (subject to legal retention rules), restrict how I use it, object to use, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies: This website uses minimal cookies. Essential cookies are required for the site to work. Analytics cookies (anonymised) help me understand which pages are useful. You can turn off non-essential cookies in your browser.
I may update this policy from time to time. The last updated date above shows when it was last changed. If you have any questions about how I handle your information, get in touch.
